What we do / Energy and mining intelligence

Judgement where the information is incomplete.

Capital moves into African energy and mining on information that is fragmented, dated or contested. Licensing regimes change. Fiscal terms are negotiated rather than published. Political conditions shift faster than the reporting on them. We provide the analysis that closes that gap — grounded in the sector, specific to the jurisdiction, and explicit about its own limits.

How we work

Every output carries a named analyst who is accountable for it. Every assessment states its evidence base and distinguishes what we observed from what we inferred. Where we are uncertain, we say so and we say by how much. Analysis that reads as more confident than the evidence supports is not useful to anyone making a real decision.

Scope — mining

Our technical bench is petroleum geoscience. In mining, we provide intelligence, market and regulatory analysis. We do not prepare mineral resource or reserve estimates — those require sign-off by a Competent Person under JORC or SAMREC, or a Qualified Person under NI 43-101, and we will tell you when that is what you need.

Not legal advice

Our regulatory and licensing analysis is commercial and technical in nature. It is not legal advice, it does not attract legal professional privilege, and it is not a substitute for advice from qualified counsel in the relevant jurisdiction. We work alongside your legal advisers and can recommend local counsel where helpful.
